Energy Flow in the Environment
The energy flow in the environment is called the spark of life. The earth receives its energy from the sun the form of light. The Sun-munchers, like Plankton, feed on the sunlight. The Plant-munchers (herbivores), like Salmon, eat plants like Plankton. Animal-munchers (Carnivores), like Harp Seals, eat the Salmon. Animals get this sunlight energy when they "munch" other animals that eat plants. The flow of energy from plants to animals is what scientists call "munchline" or "food chain".

Cycles in the Environment
Everything is made up of the exact same thing, even if it is water, rocks, even yourself! The materials are made these things have been around for a very long time and used over and over again by every living organism. Scientists call this movement of life's building every material, in great circles powered by the energy of the sun, cycling.
Interrelationships in Nature
Every living organism is connected to every living or non-living organism thing on the earth. The energy provided by the sun is fuel for everyone's life. Materials that are used repeatedly provide all of the stuff that we use. Together, the energy and the materials are like the web of life.
Changes in the Environment
Energy and materials have been flowing and cycling through living and non-living things ever sine the earth began. The movement changes all things. Materials, like air and water, are powered by the energy of the sun. The changes can be fast, like erupting volcanoes, and slow, like your growing hair. Even a you read this, your body is changing to !

Classification
Genetic Diversity
Classification
Scientists divide living organisms by Dichotomous Keys and Taxonomy. A Dichotomous Key is dividing organisms by their visible features, each time you divide them, more animals are eliminated from the group. Taxonomy is the classification of all organisms, living or non-living.
Genetic Diversity
Genetic traits are what makes you different from everyone else, like brown hair, or blue eyes. Genetic diversity can put an impact on the species because if everyone in a species was the same, then if a certain thing killed them, they would all go extinct.
