I like Popcorn!!!!!!
The starchy mix expands its suddenly full of tiny holes of steam.
Hot Popcorn
Steam can't escape, and pressure builds up until the kernel finally explodes, turning inside out.
Popcorn Facts

Popcorn differs from other types of corn in that its hull has just the right thickness to allow it to burst open.
As the popcorn is heated, the water turns into steam, which builds pressure inside the kernel.

Popcorn was discoverd in the Americas, thousands of years ago.
Popping Popcorn
The coat stops gases from escaping, so when cooked, the water inside dosen't evaperate, but becomes superheated above it's normal boiling point.
Unpopped kernels are called " old maids" & " spinsters.
A popcorn kernel has a moist, starchy inside confined in a tough outer coat.
Popcorn has vitamin A and D.
Popcorn kernels are peeled from a corn stalk and is dried.
When the popcorn splits under pressure the water vaperises.
Popcorn is a type of corn that expands from the kernel and puffs when heated
