The Great Flag Debate The Great Flag Debate Started on June 15,1964 They were debating on what
the canada flag will look like. Lester B Pearson thought that the flag chould have a maple leaf with blue borders. But because King George V said that our national colours were white and red so we had to change it. The Flag Debate Ended on December 15,1964 This is the Canada Flag now! On February 15 1965 the Canadian new national flag, a single red maple leaf on the field of white with red bars was raised for the first time over the Peace Tower in Ottawa By john and brett
