I would like to go to Oregon for many reasons. One reason is that it has many interesting landmarks. I would like to go because of all of it’s food that I would not be able to taste often otherwise. I wish to have a comfortable road trip. However, there are many things I must figure out before I start my trip.
Oregon has many foods that people in Vermont would call exotic. Most of these foods are seafoods such as, salmon, shrimp, crab, and tuna. In Portland you can get anything from burgers to chinese food in the many food carts. What I would like to do the most in oregon is to walk around in Portland and taste different foods. Oregon is well known for their fresh hazelnuts which is also their state nut. Hazelnuts are also known as filberts. I think the food in this trip alone will make it worthwhile.

Oregon is probably the most well known for it’s great lake, Crater Lake. Why Crater Lake is so well known is because it is the deepest lake in America. Crater Lake was formed from the collapse of a volcano. If you look down from a cliff you can’t see crater lake because of all of the clouds close to the surface. If you are interested in snowshoeing you can go walking on the mountain range above Crater Lake. Surely, if you went to Oregon there would be no shortage of things to do.

One of the most important things about going to Oregon would be planning the road trip. Driving from Vermont, it will be a trip across the whole country. The total amount of miles from Vermont to Oregon would be 2,905 miles. This road trip would take one day and twenty hours. This information is so important because if you do not pack the right amount of food or water, this would make your road trip much less enjoyable. I think it is very necessary to make these preparations for various reasons.

The car I have chosen for the road trip is the Nissan Versa. It has the more miles per gallon than many other cars. It also looks more comfortable than the other cars due to comfortable seats and plentiful room. It is also not extremely expensive compared to many other cars. The Nissan Versa costs about 11,000 dollars when the Subaru outback costs about 34,000 dollars. That’s more than three times the amount! I think the Nissan Versa is the most efficient, comfortable car choice for this road trip.
