POSEIDON Poseidon is mostly known and said to be the god of the seas, including all the bodies of the water. he got the power to control the domains of the sea when his brothers and sisters "divided the power of the world" (sellers). Poseidon is also said to be the god of earthquakes and horses. he made horses for the reason to impress Demeter, who was the person he loved and his sister (the Olympian). Poseidon's special powers are his total control over water the sea. he could do anything with water (seas. oceans, rivers...etc.). many sailors or people going traveling by water would pray beforehand to Poseidon for a save trap (sellers). also the trident he possessed had the power to shake almost the whole world. he would also cause other things like earthquakes, tempests, and other things (Poseidon was the...). the major accomplishments of Poseidon were many for example he fought in many wars with goods and goddesses. he won in many of those wars. another accomplishment was that he was the first in anyone to create the first horses, and because of this he was called the "tamer of horses" (Neptune). there were many myths involving Poseidon himself and with other gods. one of the myths was with him and Athena fighting over the city which is called Athena now (the contest et al.). there was also the myths in the wars Poseidon was said to be in. also he was said to be a "bad-tempered, moody, and greedy god", which also had many afairs and kids ( Poseidon et al.). Poseidon was honored by the greeks in a lot of ways. some of the people (mostly does that lived in the coastal regions) would build temples in his honor. they would pray and worship him in the temples. the people would also bring things to the temple like gifts to make Poseidon happy and in a good mood. however sometimes that didn't work because he was a moody god (Poseidon) he's also one of the 3 greatest gods THE FINISHED END FINALLY !! by: Suha Omairan
