All about the band and members Evanescence Current Band Members Amy Lee Troy McLawhorn (Vocals, piano, keyboard, harp) (Rhythm Guitar) Terry Balsamo (Lead Guitar) Will Hunt (Drums) Tim McCord (Bass Guitar) Former Band Members Ben Moody David Hodges William Boyd John LeCompt Rocky Gray Will "Science" Hunt Life, Career, etc. About Amy Lee Born: December 13, 1981
Parents: John Lee and Sarah Cargill Siblings: Brother: Robert Sisters: Lori and Carrie Unfortunately, one of Amy's younger sisters died in 1987 at the age of 3 from an unidentified illness. This inspired her to write Hello and Like You, for her deceased sister. She never performs these songs live due to the emotion from it. Amy Lee took classical piano lessons for nine years. She originally wanted to be a classical composer. She is greatly influenced by classical composers such as Mozart, and modern artists like Tori Amos, Danny Elfman, and Plumb. In fact, Evanescence's song, Lacrymosa, was inspired by Mozart's Lacrimosa. Ben Moody co-founded the band in 1995. However, Ben decided to leave the band October 22, 2003 due to "creative differences." Which, I found to be partially untrue. Please check the link below 'Evanescence' and/or 'We Are the Fallen' fans. (Sorry if you have to type all of it!) http://www.evboard.com/a-message-from-ben-moody-40377.html He is now in a band called 'We are the Fallen.' Amy Lee Amy Lee There's a lot...
