Social media is a very useful tool. However, there are things that social media should be used for, and things that it should not be used for. While using social media, you need to be careful with what you search up, what you post, and what you send.
While on social media, use the following safety tips;
Be cautious of Cyberbullying
Be cautious of Specified Adds
Be cautious of Incorrect Information
Never give away personal information on social media, such as date of birth, gender, or name
Always turn on the privacy setting on any app
Never post inappropriate pictures or texts about yourself or others
Be cautious of people who give wrong information and never respond to inappropriate or threatening messages

While working on social media, such as phones, computers, and tablets, you need to be careful. Apps, such as Google and Wikipedia, are always watching what you are doing to try and make money. You need to be careful when on other apps to, like Instagram and Facebook.
While using social media, may people post photos and messages. Posting different things is fine, but you need to be cautious of what it is you post. If you post an unfriendly message about someone, it will be on the internet forever, same goes with a picture post. Even if you delete it, someone cold have already saved it. In your later life while applying for a job, your perspective employee will preform an intense search of you on social media. If there is anything on the internet that isn't appropriate, then expect not to be hired for the job. Also, posting different things can get you in trouble with the police, and, depending on how bad the post is , you could even go to jail.
People are spending 1 out of every 7 minutes on Facebook when online.
Food is the top category on Pinterest making up 57% of discussions.
According to a study, mothers with children under the age of 5 are the most active on social media.
