Five main Stages
Stage 1: 0 to 10 months
~ Mother should stay stress free
~ taking folic acid B6 and B12, stimulate this young developing brain with sounds and sensation
Stage 2 : birth to 6 years
~ development of voluntary movement, reasoning, perception, frontal lobes active in development of emotions, attachments planning, working memory, and perception

Part's of the brain that actually get bigger. The temporal lobe (language), Cerebellum (movement), Frontal lobe (planning)

~ by six the brain is 95% is full weight and reached its peak of energy consumption

~ these are the most important years for a parent in a child's life, you have to provide a loving environment and always making the child communication. negative or harsh treatment may come with emotional consequences

Stage 4: 23 to 65 years
~The brain reaches its peak by 25 after all the major changes, that doesn't mean after 25 you cant change

~ After your peak things might start going downhill if you don't work on your brain first thing to go are the brain functionality of executive control occurring in the prefrontal and temporal areas

~ memory starts to faded, working memory is storing less and less information

~ best way the stay mentally active, learn new things, stay physically active and eat a very healthy diet

Concept Map
Stage 3: 7 to 22 years
~The neural connections are still pruning wiring of the brain still in progress
~ the prefrontal cortex is the last to mature and it involves the control of impulses and decision-making
~ teenagers need to learn to control reckless, irrational, and irritable behaviour
I have been reading up and gathering information on the human brain and have come to discover that there are five main stages
Stage 5: older than 65 years
~ Brain cells are lost in critical areas such as the hippocampus responsible for processing memories

~ try learning new things just to keep your brain active, learning a new language is a great way to keep the brain active and healthy

~ stress as horriable affects on the brain try to be as stress free the older you get

~ Eating healthy is big deal to keep a healthy brain

Intoxicated brain compared to sober brain
Alzheimer's brain vs normal brain
~cortex shrivels up, damaging areas that involved in thinking, planning and remembering.
~Shrinkage is especially severe in the hippocampus, an area of the cortex that plays a key role in formation of new memories

The blue represents no or little brain activity, as you can see in the drunk brain there isn’t a lot of brain activity because that's what boozes does to your brain and that's why people act really silly and fall over when they are drunk because there aren’t a lot of connections going on in your brain, Also why sometimes you may not remember everything that happened that night.

Video questions

As a child there a lot of connections happening in the brain and that number of connections go’s down was you get older and the connections become more specific to what we need and connections that we don’t use or never learned are lost… Adult, big changes in the brain stop happening after the age of 20 but some people work hard enough at something for example memorizing a map (like in the video) apart of your brain can become noticeable bigger.

The brain play’s a huge part when it comes to our personality, our brain is whats makes us who we are. For example Charles Whitman in the video was descried as a great guy and loving husband, but one day he wrote letter to himself describing something have been going on how he didn’t feel like himself and something was wrong. In the early morning hours of August 1, 1966, Whitman murdered his wife and mother in their homes. Later that day, brought a number of guns, including rifles, a shotgun, and handguns to the campus of the university of Texas at Austin where over an 90-95 minute period, he killed 14 people and wounded 32 others in the mass shooting in and around the tower, after being shot by the police, People later found this letter that asked he was dead his brain be examined turned out there was a tumour placed in the brain that affects how people act and who they were as a person

Five facts

Every thing we do or learn is from experience

Big changes in the brain stop happening after our early 20’s

If your brain changes you change

Your brain if told of something you think you did will start believing it, called false memory

Never to late to change your brain if you work hard to keep your brain healthy you brain will stay up to shape with yoursefl
