Cardiac Muscles Pump Blood
Smooth Muscles Aid Digestion
Smooth Muscles Ensure Blood Flow Gastrocnemius- Straightens the joint of the ankle letting you to lift your foot.
Biceps- allows the arm to bend at the elbow.
Triceps- Extends the arm at the elbow.
Pectoralis Major- Pulls the arm forward and rotates the upper arm.Biceps Femoris- Pulls the thigh backwards.
Gluteus Maximus- Straightens the thigh and brings it backwards.
Pectoralis Major- Pulls the arm forward and rotates the upper arm.
Deltoid- Allows the arm to raise the shoulder. Major Muscles of the body Types of Organs in the Muscular System Cardiac Muscles-The muscles of the heart that contracts that Allows blood to squeeze out of your heart to relax and fill your heart with blood. Smooth Muscles-Muscles that are capable of involuntary slow rythmic contractions and occcurs in the walls of the blood vessels. Muscular Dystrophy-A genetic disease that causes damage the muscle fibers and causes lack of mobility,loss of coordination, and weakness. Compartment Syndrome-a disease that compresses the blood vessels, nerves and muscles and causes muscle pain, paresthesia paralysis and has to be fixed immediately with a surgery called facicotomy. Myasthenia Gravis- A chronic autoimmune desease caused by muscle weakness and fatique which causes drooping eyelids, breathing and swallowing diffuculties, and inability to control facial expressions.
