Senate
The bill is introduced into the Senate
Then it goes to Committee and Subcommitte
There it can be Amended, killed or passed
Debate
Each Senator gets to Debate the bill on the Senate floor
A member can start a Filibuster
Filibuster
A Filibuster is an attempt to stop the Senate from continuing by non-stop talking by one or more Senators
Vote of Cloture will stop a Filibuster
Then off to the floor for a vote.
The Path of a Bill
A bill is introduce into the Hopper
Then it goes to Committee and Subcommitte
There it can be Amended, killed or passed
To the Rules Committee
The Rules Committee sets the rules for Debate

Debate
Each House Member gets to Debate the bill on the House floor
After the Debate each member gets to vote on the bill
If it passes it goes to the Senate
