Influences
Hit Tracks
Jay Z and Kanye West
Shawn Corey Knowles-Carter known as Jay-Z, is an American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, and occasional actor. Jay Z was born on December 4, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York. He is one of the most successful hip-hop artists in America.
Kanye Omari West is an American musician, film director and fashion designer. Kanye West was born on June 8, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lived with his parents. When he was three years old, his parents divorced, and he and his mother moved to Chicago, Illinois.
How he was influenced by Jay Z and Kanye
Frank Ocean's latest album "Channel Orange" wouldn't have been a hit without the help of Jay Z and Kanye West. Frank was featured on Jay Z and Kanye West's album and later said that he was inspired by their Watch the Throne album release strategy. He was inspired to do the same thing as Jay Z and Kanye and let his music speak for itself and to not be in a situation where his album leaked. This allowed his album to become a hit. Frank was also inspired to try new music structures making music like he had never before. He is determined for his next album to be as big of a hit as Channel Orange.

His Fans
Frank Ocean couldn't have gone through any of this without all the love and support from his fans. His fans were the ones who encouraged him to keep trying when he felt like he was being judged for who he was. His fans helped him be who he is today by supporting him the whole way which is why we made his fans Frank's third influence. We don't think that any artist could go through all the hate and paparazzi without their fans. Frank's fans mean everything to him and they have inspired him to continue doing what he loves and what he was meant to do.
THE END!!!
Every artist has influences including Frank Ocean and for most artists it would be hard for them to pursue their career without those influences. For Frank he would not be here today without the help of his influences. The artists who influenced him to be who he is today are Jay Z, Kanye West, and since he doesn't have a third artist influence, his fans are also his influence.
