NATURAL
DISASTER
ABOUT
An earthquake is a shake of a shale and it can destroy many houses, schools and places like in Haiti,2010.An earthquake can often create a tsunami.Experts can detect when an earthquake happens with a seismograph.
An earthquake is the result of the ground shaking
as the sudden release of energy accumulated
by constraints on rocks.the result of the breakdown of rocks is called a flaw place. The breaking of rocks is called the foyer.the world is experiencing more earthquakes every day. Did you know? Approximately one hundred thousand earthquakes are recorded on the planete.Just earthquakes from level 6.0 are considered a natural disaster.the sciensist that studies earthquakes is a seismologists.
The deadliest eartquake killed 830,000 people in 1556 in Shaanxi in China
Tsunami
A tsunami is a series of huge waves triggered most often by earthquakes submarines. Underwater volcanic eruptions and landslides in the water can also cause tsunamis. The word tsunami is Japanese tsu means harbor and nami wave. The wave of a tsunami can reach the height of a building with 8 floors, but the biggest ever seen in the world had the same size as a 30-story building.Tsunamis can destroy homes, crops, plantations, etc.
Description

Explication
1.A earthquake is formed.
2.The earthquake shakes the water.
3.Some waves are formed.
4.The waves together and form the tsunami.
Tsunami
What is it?
A natural disaster is a serious phenomenon caused naturally and not created by man. For example, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and hurricanes are natural disasters.

Why there are natural disasters?
As said above, it is Nature that the products. They are due to either structural changes of the Earth (earthquake and tsunami) is the most powerful natural forces that Man (hurricane or volcanic eruption).

The problem is there: you can not! Nothing is stronger than nature. Man has still managed to create tools to prevent or protect against natural disasters, and in countries with seismic activity we invented the famous building or seismic techniques we now have to find out a few seconds or minutes before a tsunami will hit
How to avoid?
Volcanic Eruptions
We can also distinguish the volcanoes according to their activity:
Active volcanoes: are volcanoes that are erupting.

The dormant volcanoes: they can wake up and erupt if the gas builds up too.

The extinct volcanoes: they are the volcanoes that are old and will never erupt.
The explosive volcanism: it rejects a thick lava, viscous and does not flow, forming a "cap" on the crater. The eruption of the volcano sprays the top and triggers destructive pyroclastic flows. The lava is approximately 300 ° C to 900 ° C.
explosive volcanism
Explosive volcanism
There are also the submarine volcanism which has a different operation of the continental terrestrial volcanoes. The lava reaching the surface cools immediately forming kinds of cushions called pillow lava. Marine volcanoes sometimes form Islands, for example, the island of Reunion. Marine fireplaces are very deep: up to 2 km. Scientists say there are about 20,000 volcanoes under the sea
Submarine Volcanism
The effusive volcanism: He regularly dismisses fluid lava flows. The lava is about 1200 ° C.
Effusive Volcanism
Volcanic activity
Now let talk about the three diffrent system of volcanoes the effusive volcanism, explosive volcanism and submarine volcanism.

Thank you!!!
Do you know the cyclone Patricia, this cyclone spend across Mexico from east to west, last 27 october 2015.It was the most powerful cyclone ever. This cyclone had reached more than 350 km per hour.
The consequences of earthquakes are very serious. Several homes are destroyed hospitals, educational institutions, grocery stores and more.A lot of people are injured, there is going to be many of them stuck underneath the debris or even dead .After the earthquake happens , many epidemics occur,as for example: the cholera epidemic after the Haiti earthquake 2010.How? Because during the earthquake pieces of a house fall on people and these pieces are dirty and dirt spread on the people who have contact with other people for care, etc. So the water used by people is no longer drinkable and therefore diseases spread and kill more persons. Unfortunately because the food is not good.these people die of hunger or of thirst .Fianlly.the home that the earthquake destroyed, will take 2 to 12
CYCLONE
TROPICAL CYCLONE
Tropical cyclones form when the energy released by the condensation of moisture in rising air causes a positive feedback loop over warm ocean waters. The tropical cyclones form over warm waters and tropical seas get their energy from the condensation of water.
EXTRATROPICAL CYCLONES
An extratropical cyclones are powered by convection so they are different than tropical cyclone.
SUBTROPICAL CYCLONE
Subtropical cyclones form in a wide band of latitude in the northern hemisphere.Subtropical cyclones are significantly more frequent across the North Atlantic than the south.
TIDAL WAVE
An Tidal Wave is exceptionally large ocean wave, especially one caused by an underwater earthquake or volcanic eruption or by the gravitational forces of the sun or moon, and cause changes in the level of water bodies.
FORMATION
POLAR CYCLONE
The polar cyclones occurrent throughout the year but, they are less strong during the summer.
A cyclone is a huge vortex of clouds and very strong winds (which blow up to 300 km / h). The cyclones are born when the cold air enters the warm seas around the equator. They are very large and can measure up to 1000 km in diameter. They move very quickly, and are very active if they remain above the sea, against if they arrive above the earth, their power decreases and they eventually disappear.

Sand Storm
It's a meteorological phenomenon very spread in arid and semi-arid regions.(dry lands around North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula,Iran,Pakistan and India. They also hapen in flat regions of U.S.A like kansas, Oklahoma,Texas,New Mexico and Arizona.)We can also call sand storms dust storms. They arise when a strong wind blows loose sand and dirt from one place and deposits it in another. They occur in summer but can occur in spring in the U.S.A.They last only a few minutes. We use the term sand storm when the context is desert or places where sand is the dominating soil type. We use dust storm when fine particles are blown long distances and affect urban areas.
Definition
How fast and how high can sand storms move
Sand storms have wind speeds of at least 25 miles per hour.(40 km) they can happen really quickly. One minute they are not there and one minute later they are right next to you. They can rise 305 meters.
causes
They happpen in any dry area where loose sand can easily be picked up.Grains of sand tossed into the air by the wind usually fall back down to the ground after a few hours .Smaller bits of particles stay in the air for a week or longer and can be blown thousands of miles away .
consquences
sand storms arrive without warning, they are dangerous because they advance in the form of a big wall of dust and debris. The dust is blinding and its makes driving impossibe.Even if they last for a few minutes they cause serious cars accidents. They also cause asthma and respiratory
diseases. For example Australia spends 20 000 000 $ a year in medical bills in relation to sand storms.
They aslo cause blindness, suffocation and dry eyes. They can contribute to the spread of diseases because Virus spores are blown in the atmosphere and appear in the form of smog or acid rain. They also reduce agricultural productivity because they damage young plants.
TIDAL WAVE IN THAILAND
The formation of a Tidal Wave begins with a fraction of flaws with the land that is below the water, so that makes waves and these waves are moved water which form a Tidal Wave.

Introduction
NO WE JUST START!!
that will be long
THAT START GOOD
EARTHQUAKE
And Happy Halloween
when do they occur
they are more common during winter or spring but glacier movement may cause ice and snow avalanches at any time
causes
load of snow pack due to gravity or precipitation
-Avalanches can also be triggered by other loads such as skiers snow mobilers animals or explosives
-sometimes even seismic activities may trigger avalanches

-Metamorphic changes in the snow pack such as melting because of solar radiation

-Human activities because deforestation and soil erosion give snow little stability in winter months
vibration or movement: all terrain vehicles and snowmobiles create vibration within the snow that it cannot support. Also construction done with explosives weaken the soil

warm temperatures: the snow on mountains melt and turns into ice, when fresh snow falls it doesn't stick so it slides on the mountain causing avalanches.

effects
-Death and injuries of people who practice skiing, snow mobilng and snow boarding
-Can cause flash floods and crops failure in flat areas

-Economic loss: Avalanches oblige ski resorts and other businesses to close and sometimes for a long period (Hotels, restaurants, shops etc )
prevention
Explosives trigger small avalanches that remove over burden that causes large avalanches

-Snow fences are also used to direct the placement of snow

-Trees can be planted because they reduce the strength of avalanches

Bonus
Michel Trudeau, the brother of Justin Trudeau died in an avalanche while skiing on British-Columbia in 1998, he was 23 and he was never be found
An avalanche is a natural phenomenon which can be also called snow slide or snow slip. It's a very quick flow of snow down a sloping surface.Avalanches carry enormous masses of snow at high speed. They usually accelerate in mass and volume as they entrain more snow. If the avalanche moves fast enough some of the snow may mix with the air forming a powder snow avalanche . There are 3 types : slab avalanches, powder snow avalanches and wet snow avalanches.
