-México is the largest Spanish speaking country in the world with 112.3 million people.

In the 1500s, Spanish explorers also known as conquistadores came to the Americas to take over the land in the name of España. These conquistadores conquered the native peoples already living in the land. (Aztecs, Mayas, and Incas)
