4D Movies what is 4D? 4D is just like 3D, but better. It's 3D with an in-theater experience. Whatever happens in the movie happens to you. For example, if it rains in the movie, the theater will make it rain. You're practically in the movie. The Past...... The previous versions of 4D were 2D and 3D. 2D is just a normal 2 dimensional picture, like the movies you watch at home. It requires no special equimpment except for a TV and a DVD player. 3D is a version of a movie in which the characters jump out at you, as if they were in the room. To see a 3D movie, you almost always have to wear special glasses. However, there is a version of 3D technology that does not require glasses. Future...... The next version of 4D will be 5D, where the picture is virtual. It'll look like you're watching the actors in a play. The History of 4D Movies 4D movies were founded in 1984, but their breakthrough was from 1995 to 2008. It was a slow process to develop the technology. Even when the technology was developed, it didn't become very famous. Some people don't even know it exists yet! Benefits
