HOW DO I WRITE A PARAGRAPH? Brainstorm everything you know about the topic
e.g. if the topic is, "what sort of a person is my grandmother?"
you might list:
•makes great cupcakes • once chased a robber • lived through WW2
• is forgetful •wise •has grey hair makes great
cupcakes once chased a robber forgetful has grey hair lived through WW2 wise Use the TEEL method

Link Decide on main idea or topic sentence e.g. My gran is the most
inspirational person I know. Your second sentence
explains what you mean by this e.g. Gran has lived through some
amazing events in history, but she has always
kept a positive approach even when times have
been tough. The next step is to provide evidence of this statement.
e.g. Gran lived through World War 2, which must have been tough but she has kept her spirit. She understands people and is always glad to welcome them to her home, usually with her home baking, except for the time when a robber attacked her, then she chased him away. Her bravery really shone that day. The last sentence is the link where you refer back to main idea of topic sentence. e.g.
Lots of people really admire my Gran for her vitality and goodness. I hope I can grow up to be just like her. Put it all together:
