Main reasons Uni students don't have an active lifestyle.
University students are limited when it comes to living an active lifestyle, because of their busy schedules. Most University students are at uni for 4 to 5 days a week and when they aren’t at Uni they are usually doing assignments, studying for test, seeing their family (that’s only if they are in a different town/state), and keeping up with a busy social calendar. When University students don’t have much to do, they are usually out partying with their friends. University students don’t have an active lifestyle because they are not motivated enough to go for a walk or jog.
Activities that are sutable for University students.
The types of activities that are suitable for university students are sports that can be played with friends like, netball, basketball, soccer, AFL, rugby, touch. Uni students would also enjoy participating in yoga, martial arts, gymnastics, kick boxing , mountain biking, aerobics. All these sports get you moving and will make you fitter, these sports will benefit you not only by making you fitter but also with social skills, prevent diseases, and you will sleep better, will help with your leadership skills, boosts self-esteem, and cuts down on pressure and stress.
Benefits of University students leading an active lifestyle.
There are a lot of benefits of leading an active lifestyle for University students like having more vitality, you are in better shape, less stressed so you are more focused on assessments, you have better mental health, you have more self-esteem. Physical activity helps university students by having more sleep, better control over risky diseases (heart disease, diabetes), controls your weight, stronger bones, extends your life span, helps prevent depression and anxiety. Everyone of these benefits also extend your lifespan. Leading an active lifestyle will make you an healthier and happier person.
Strategies for University students to lead an active lifestyle
There are a lot of strategies for university students to lead an active lifestyle like riding your bike or even walking to uni instead of driving or catching the bus, even shopping because you are walking around, gardening, eating healthy, and drinking around 7-8 glasses of water a day, more hours of sleep, volunteering, walk your pet, laughter, laughing can boost your immune system, and ease pain. These are strategies to boost your active lifestyle.
