Transcript of Stars

The Sun
The sun is the closest star to the earth. The sun is 6000 drgree's at it's surface . Under the sun's surface it is 15 million degree's. The sun fuses helium into hydrogen at a crazy rate. The layers of the sun are inner core, radiative zone, convection zone.
Constellations
Constellations are images made up by the stars. The first star cadolouges were made around six thousand years ago. Some of the most commin constellations are the big dipper and the small dipper.
Types of Stars
The first stage of a star is called a Protostar. A Protostar is a collection of gas that has fell down from a giant molecular cloud. Over time, gravity and pressure increase, forcing the protostar to fall down. All of the energy released by the protostar comes only from the heating caused by the gravitational energy. Other types are Red Giant Stars, White Dwarfs, Neutron Stars, Black Holes, Brown Dwarfs, and Variable Dwarfs

The big Dipper
Movement Of The Stars
Our galaxy, like all other galaxies,is rotating. The stars move on orbits around the center of the galaxy. It was the motions of stars in external galaxies at lead to theidea of dark matter in the universe - their motions indicate that there was more mass within their orbit than could be accounted for by visible mattre alone.
