Lord of the Board
"Zahia Neves"
The ride up is exhilarating, the view is breathtaking,
Suddenly I understand Thoreau's fascination with the sublime.
The mountains at dawn glimmer like a diamond in the sun,
The lift arrives where the air is thinnest, it is time.
I reminisce for a moment as my mortal legs become One,

One with the board, one with the terrain,
Keys to the castle in the hands of a juvenile.
Not sure what I was chasing or what I was running from,
traverse the fjord, to end summer's pain,
Deep breath (the imp in my mind uttered "you live but once") make this run worthwhile.
