West African Warfare and Slavery Slavery Slavery has long existed in human societies, But the transatlantic slave trade is unique. Slaves were tormented with whips and chains. Also the women were abused. Warfare Work Slavery Song There was a war between Ghana and Mali Empires.
They were fighting for land. Helmets were not just
used for protection but to show rank and status.
Shields were also used as a decorative object.
