-what is the issue?
2. Declarative sentence--strong!
3. Limiting, concrete.
4. Suggests purpose--what is the response you want? How are you solving the problem?
1. What is your topic? Why is it a problem? 2.What do you propose we do to solve it?
Discrimination of LGBTQ students at religious universities.
Better: Many religious universities throughout the United States restrict LGBTQ students from attending as part of a "morality clause," either denying students identifying as LGBTQ from receiving a Biblical education, or forcing to them to hide their orientation, and face expulsion if discovered.
1. First, state the problem.
Not great: Christian schools don't let gay students attend because it's against the Bible, which is wrong.
They shouldn't do this because it violates human rights
People need to spread awareness that this is wrong.
The schools need to start accepting LGBTQ students.
While within their right of religious freedom to deny students based on Biblical morality, the reality is that a fraction of the student body does identify as LGBTQ, and in order to exemplify more Christian-like behavior and love, universities should provide protected and anonymous counseling services and allow student-run support/advocacy groups, ultimately shifting from witch-hunt ideology.

Even though they're allowed to deny students based on orientation, many still lie to attend, so schools need to provide counseling and support groups
