Subtitling using Aegisub
Advantages of Subtitling

to learn the language of their new country faster and help
to keep up their language.
Disadvantages of subtitling
which make them miss some details of the video.
is summarizing of the original text to be written as subtitles which appear as lines
of the video. They

I have tried subtitling for a year. It was so much fun and I have learned many things. First, I have gained an experience in this field. Second, my English got better than I expected. Third, my vocabulary list have extended. Last, my translation skills have improved.
I tried subtitling dramas, programs, songs, etc. The hardest one was the dramas, because of the number of lines that need to be subbed. Sometimes, they will reach a thousand lines. I have usually spending a whole day or more just to subtitle one episode. For timing thing, it is the most boring and tiring thing I have ever tried. You will just repeat your steps again and again like no ending. Even thought it was a tiring thing, but the result was always satisfying.
To compress the translation file with the raw video which has to be an avi file, I personally use
. It is easy to use.
