3D Printing
3-D Printing: allows for the creation of three dimensional, physical objects through the use of digital blueprints, a 3-D printer, and plastic material.
~ Test Tube meat, In-Vitro meat, Cultured Meat

~This is essentially man made meat; meat that doesn't come from animals, but is artificially grown in a lab.

Cloning of Embryonic Stem Cells
As civilization advances, it is inevitable that technology will advance alongside it in order to meet its ever-changing needs. However, advancement is not an entirely positive change: with it comes new problems never before faced by society. But in order to overcome these issues, we must first become informed about them.
How Is It an Issue?
Allows the easy creation of firearms, limited only by the amount of plastic material owned
Created entirely out of plastic, they are undetectable by metal detector
Large possibility of widespread copyright infringement, as blueprints cannot be regulated
Instant creation of goods at home poses huge economic problems, causing death of delivery industry (Ex. UPS, FedEx, etc.)
What's the Problem?
- Safety Concerns? Past "revolutionary" foods had side effects (olestra)

- Price $250,000 to $325,000 for one burger patty

- People will still crave real meat for its taste

Cloning of Embryonic Stem Cells
What are Stem Cells?
-Cells that develop into different cells or tissues
Embryonic Stem Cells
Derived From Embryos (3 to 5 days old, called a blastocyst)
Process of Cloning
What is so bad about Cloning Embryonic Stem Cells?
ETHICAL ISSUES:
Religion VS. Science
Religion

VS.

Science
CLONING OF EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS
IS
UNETHICAL
Regardless of the circumstance, an embryo that could have developed into a living, breathing child is now dead for the sole purpose of scientific research.
How Do We Solve The Issues?
~ Furthering Inventions can never really
be stopped
~ Use laws to limit what can and can not
be used
~ Vote for seeing what we eat being labeled
~ Further research before opening this to
the public
