This song is calm and peaceful. When Kino heard the Song of the Family it said he was soothed by the song. This song brings peace. It is very soothing and fits the description well.

Song of Evil

Song: The Emperor Arrives

This song is very mysterious and dark. Kino said that the song of evil was very unsettling. He heard it and he felt uneasy and he knew danger was near. Every time he heard the song he felt an evil presence. It could have been a person or an object. This song gives the sense that evil is on it's way.

When Kino hears the song of the enemy, he knows that something or someone bad was near. When the doctor was in Kino's house, Kino sensed that the doctor wanted the pearl for himself, so the song came into his head.

When Kino went diving to find a pearl, he faintly heard the song. Then eventually the song becomes louder until he found the pearl and the song comes to it's loudest point. This song starts soft and keeps getting louder and louder.

When Kino first found the pearl, he wouldn't let anyone touch it. Juana told Kino that the whole reason all these bad things were happening to them is because of the pearl. Kino didn't want to believe it but eventually he realized it was true. This song has a point in which there is almost a sudden point of realization.

The book has lots of slow parts and some very intense parts. This song starts slow and calm and then it gets faster and louder. This song sums up the book very well.
