Will it have a negative effect? Technology and it's Impact on Communities By Madison Liebl There are positive and negative impacts with technology in communities, but as a whole, positive impacts outweigh the negative ones. Conclusion Family /Communication Social media has made it easy to keep in touch with old friends, and also helps strengthen relationships. Technology has made businesses more productive, so things get done faster and easier, but has made people more dependent on technology. Phones and texting can help parents communicate with their kids, like when to pick them up from school or sports. There isn't as much face-to-face social interaction as there was before. Some people actually become addicted to going online and that increases anxiety, leaving them feeling isolated. References "Impact of Technology on Communication." Buzzle.com. Buzzle.com, 2013. there are more options to show what you've learned, like Powerpoints or Word documents. Technology has helped make people more interested in learning at school and makes finding information easier. Video conferences have been crucial in promoting
faster decision-making. Oak, Manali. "Impact of Technology on Education." Buzzle.com. Buzzle.com, 20 Mar. 2012. Web. 17 Mar. 2013. Mobile websites make it easier to do things on the go, instead of having to go to an office to be able to work on it. Companies can get hacked
and lose their information. If computers crash or get
viruses, it could mess up
the company. People could use their phones
to cheat or get the answers to tests. Technology can be a distraction,
so students might not know how to
do something when it comes up on
a test, and that would make their
grade lower. Negative Impacts Negative Impacts Technology has changed the way families communicate in both positive and negative ways. Technology makes it easier for students to find information for research and to share documents to others.
