Transcript of Giving Our Pets Longer and Happier Lives

Have you ever wondered
about what we can do to
help our pets live longer? Giving Our Pets Longer and Happier Lives to There are a number of things but I'm here to talk about two. Euthanasia & Spaying/
Neutering What is it? Killing to relieve pain or suffering of the animal. Removing of sex organs of an animal. What is it? "About every 4 seconds, an animal is euthanized because it has no home" "Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S.
And each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born.
As a result, every year 4 to 6 million animals are euthanized because there are no homes for them" "The average life span of an altered pet is forty percent longer than one that’s not spayed or neutered" "Veterinarians can prevent an animal from having or fathering babies by neutering it" Euthanasia and Spaying/ Neutering are two major issues the Barks of Love organization works toward. Barks of Love Barks of Love is a non-profit organization staffed entirely by volunteers. Ashley Greenspan is the founder and president of Barks of Love. Barks of Love rescues animals from shelters, foster them in private homes, and teach them to live in a home environment. They are located in private homes anywhere in the U.s.
