They lived along the Gulf Coast of Mexico in the modern-day Mexican States of Veracruz and Tabasco
They lived in the jungles and swamps of Southern Mexico
There were also mountains with snow covered tops.
As one of the first Mesoamerican cultures, they established a foundation for other upcoming civilizations
The Olmec Culture created the origional ball game that was later brought back and played in later civilizations
The game played a major role in mesoamerican mythology
These contests sometimes included human sacrifice
