An Arizona high schooler named Charles Youvella sadly passed away from an injury he got from football. It happened in the fourth quarter of a playoff game. He was a senior in high school, a shorter kid, but good at football. He scored the team's only touchdown that night, but they lost 60-6. He was injured on the 9th of November, but passed away on the 11th. The cause of death was a traumatic brain injury. Community members had asked people to pray for the football player’s family, friends and teammates. A memorial for him was planned to support him. Scientists said that 250,000 people age 19 and younger were treated in the ER for brain injuries related to sports in 2009. This was 150,000 person increase from 2001 to 2009. It’s very sad that this happened. We hope that it never happens again.
I think is very sad that he passed away because people loved him and were very sad when they found out. It's also sad because he passed really young. At least he didn't pass suddenly so people could say goodbye. All in all I think it's very sad that he'd passed away so early.
