Plant seeds under 1 inch of soil. water it once a day if the sun is not intense and water it twice a day if the sun is intense. keep it under the sun Add water to moisten the seed. When the plant grows to about 3 feet tall, it is a good idea to support it using sticks. How do you harvest it? Flower heads are mature when the reverse side turns from a green color to a yellow-brown color cut off flower head and hang upside down until seeds are throughly dried. Seeds will sprout after 7-10 days. Fun Facts! Sunflower heads always face the direction of the sun. :) This is called heliotropism! It is a dicot.
