Transcript of Geothermal energy.

Geothermal energy is the heat from the Earth. It's clean and sustainable. Resources of geothermal energy range from the shallow ground to hot water and hot rock found a few miles beneath the Earth's surface, and down even deeper to the extremely high temperatures of molten rock called magma.
Geothermal energy.
- There aren't many suitable locations
- the cost is high
- there is not a very large amount of energy produced

YES! Geothermal power plants are connected to the national grid!
What do we think?
We think that geothermal energy is good because it is renewable and doesn't harm the environment.
- It can be used to heat homes directly without converting it into electricity
- no environmental problems
- free energy
- close to the surface
