Echinodermatas get their names from the greek term meaning "spiny skin"
features and characteristics
exists only in the sea
all have radical symmetry
they all have water vascular systems
do not contain vertebrae

The sponge star is partially a starfish and partially a sponge it has qualities of each. The skin surrounding the sponge star has a sharp texture like spiny skin and the blue part is spongy-like feeling. This organism exists only in the sea and has radical symmetry and they also have no vertebrae.
