Transcript of Ozarka Water

Roughly 70 percent of an adult’s body is made up of water. At birth, water accounts for approximately 80 percent of an infant’s body weight.

Much more fresh water is stored under the ground in aquifers than on the earth’s surface.
The weight a person loses directly after intense physical activity is weight from water, not fat. Soft drinks, coffee, and tea, while made up almost entirely of water, also contain caffeine. Caffeine can act as a mild diuretic, preventing water from traveling to necessary locations in the body.
LIFE Our Products Our natural spring water comes from spring sources that are distinguished for their natural geological features and the great-tasting water that comes from them. We choose springs that are replenished by the natural precipitation. We also collect the water with sustainability, other users of the water sources and the surrounding environment in mind. Sand and gravel may seem unlikely choices for a water filter—yet water has been filtering through them underground since the Earth's beginning. Spring water passes through porous layers of sediment, as it moves through the underground layers, and minerals become dissolved in the water. The result is natural spring water, which just may be "some of the best tasting water on Earth". It does not get any more natural than this! All about the "Green Theme" We are Continuing to Do More With Less

30% less plastic is only a beginning. Now, some of our specially marked Ozarka Eco-Shape® bottles and caps contain even less plastic—an average of 40% less plastic versus comparable size leading beverage brands. These bottles and caps contain about 2 grams less plastic than our prior Eco-Shape® bottles and caps. It's more than just a trend, it's our commitment that will continue to grow as we move into the future. It takes approximately 6 trees to make one ton of paper. Junk mail in the United States alone consumes over 100-million trees every year.2 With thoughts like that in mind, we're making smaller labels for our bottles. By cutting back on the amount of paper we use, we're helping reduce the deforestation of our woodlands. We're also helping to conserve considerable amounts of clean water and energy used in the paper manufacturing process. The less paper we use, the more trees we save for a greener environment. Why buy Ozarka? Nestlé Waters North America plays an active role in supporting organizations like the American Red Cross and sends water and other support to those affected by natural disasters. Every Drop Counts” $10,000 Earth Science Scholarship

At Ozarka Spring Water, we are passionate about the importance of water education. We have joined efforts with groups like Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) to help bring new opportunities to Texas classrooms and raise awareness about water conservation, protection, and management. Now and in the future, Ozarka hopes to create new learning experiences for Texas students.

In 2002 Ozarka began the "Every Drop Counts" Earth Science Scholarship Fund to be awarded to Texas students who wish to pursue degrees in the Earth/Environmental Sciences. For 2009, the $30,000 fund is divided into six scholarship awards among two groups: four local $2500 scholarships for four high school seniors in our spring site school districts and two $10,000 statewide scholarships for two Texas residents pursuing higher education in the Earth/Environmental Sciences at any accredited four-year college or university. armony High School - $2500 science scholarship
