Botswana was established on September 30, 1966. After Britain had granted a constitution to the country, Botswana has become Africa's oldest democracy.

Botswana has a Parliamentary Republic for their government.

Event:
On February/March, there were devasting
floods which caused over 60,000 people
in high-populated areas to lose their homes
and belongings. It was a struggle to get
everyone and everything back to normal.
