PATENTS CASKET LOWERING DEVICE
ALBERT C. RICHARDSON
Albert C. Richardson was born on May, 19 1880 and died on February,3 1964 and he was 83 years old. The black inventor Albert C. Richardson was the first person to create the Patents Casket Lowering Device in 1894. Richardson decided to build a Casket lowering device when he observed casket lowering workers lowering a casket and how crude and difficult it was to lower a casket by hand. Richardson was afraid that the casket would be damaged or dropped. Richardson was very good with his hands and even created the first butter churn in 1819. Once he got a true idea in his head about how crude lowering a casket was he got to work. Albert C. Richardson's device contained pulleys, ropes,or cloths that balanced the weight of the casket. To this day we still use his Patents Casket Lowering Device.
