Transcript of Robotics
Why is programming important?
If you don't how to program your robot, it won't do what you need it to.
If you think programming is hard, well- it is really easy. All you do is go on a Robolab2.9 and you start programing your robot. It will be tricky though because there are a lot of things on there that you can program with that you need to know. It was for me because it is my first year.
In Millbrook Middle School the robotics teachers are Mr.Yager and his son, Ben. They are a big help when you need it and can improve your work. It makes it better - trust me. He can tell you a lot of the programs if you need to know about them. After that he can help you with the competition or where you can put your robot on the board to work with the obstacles.
I have never been in competition, but I was this year. You have to program your robot to do an obstacle that is on the table. For my obstacle, my partner and I had to pick up two lego trucks and get them to the other end of the board.
The main thing for all of the programming and the competition is the robot. The robot is really fun to build and program and it is really cool. Building the robot is the best part because you can either build by directions or build by imagination. Trust me, the robot is the best. The good thing is that there are so many pieces to build from.
Why I chose this topic
I chose this topic because robotics is one of my favorite things to do. Also, it is really fun to do. I love to build, too, so that is another reason why. Also, I did not like my other topics and this is the only one I really liked.
How I picked my resources
I picked my resources by using the websites that were suggested to me by my teacher and classmates. Also, they were really the only resources I could find.
what I liked or disliked/liked about prezi
What I liked about prezi is that you can do a lot with it. For example you could put photos on it or a video. There is something I don't like about it though, and that is that it makes it hard to make a circle and to type in it.
What I learned and knew from this
What I learned from this prezi is that there are so many different things that have to do with robotics; like how important the programming is and so on. What I knew was: how to program, how big of a part the robot has in robotics, and more.

The prezi I have chosen is on robotics. Many of you probably think of just robots when you hear robotics, but it is much more than that. It has so many different steps and best of all, competition. It is truly a blast.
