What Happened to the Lost Colony of Roanoke?
In 1587, John White took approximately 100 settlers to
Roanoke , but left for supplies later that year . His daughter,
and granddaughter were in Roanoke. A war in Spain
delayed his return by almost three years. When he finally
returned the colony was utterly deserted. No one knows
were they went or why.
What is Croatoan?
Why is croatoan carved in a wooden post?

Croatoan is an island South of Roanoake
known today as Hatteras island. This
island was home to the native american
tribe with the same name.
There are many theories of why this was carved into a wooden post. after reasearching several wb sites we belive this is because they wanted to mark who killed all of them and croatone is a island south of roanoke so they wanted to mark

Moved
Aliens
The settlers might have moved to croatoan, now known as Hatteras island.
Theres always a couple of people who INSIST that aliens are the answer, and that actually could be how they dissapeared ( I dont believe it though ).
Ahoy!
One other theory is that they built ships, and then sailed away. After that they could have landed somewhere and died there. They could have gotten lost at sea. They could have crashed. Mant things could have happened. The one thing all the theories have in common is that nobody knows where the colony went or wHAT THEY DID WHILE JOHN WHITE WAS GONE.
