Enjoy some Director, Staff, Service Group & Committee Reports Motions Duly Submitted - By-Law Changes Whereas it is unclear in the UWSA By-Laws as to UWSA representative seats on University decision making bodies;

Be it resolved that the following point be added as point 2.29 iii.:

iii. The UWSA will hold representation on the University of Winnipeg Board of Regents (UWSA President plus three [3] additional seats) and the University of Winnipeg Senate (UWSA President plus one [1] student representative for every three [3] academic staff representatives under clause 17(1)j of the University of Winnipeg Act, but not less than six [6]). These UWSA representatives shall be elected as per By-Law 5.03. Whereas by-law 2.30 does not explain how long a term is for UWSA representatives on the University of Winnipeg Board of Regents and Senate;

Be it resolved that the following line be added under By-Law 2.30:

The term for UWSA Regents and Senators shall be determined by the University of Winnipeg Act. 1.Clarification of UWSA Board of Regents and Senate Seats (AGM-BP-1) 2.Term of UWSA Regents and Senators (AGM-BP-2) Whereas it is unclear as to how vacancies are filled for UWSA representation on the University of Winnipeg Board of Regents and Senate;
