In 1814, the British engineer George Stephenson built the first successful steam engine locomotive. It was called Blucher.
It could carry eight wagons loaded with 30 tons of coal, at a speed of four miles per hour.
In 1825, George Stephenson created the first public railway for steam locomotives.
The light bulb was invented by Thomas Alva Edison in the year 1880.
On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright made four brief flights at Kitty Hawk with their first powered aircraft.

It was developed in 1838 by Samuel Morse, although other inventors had made other prototypes.
It worked by transmitting electrical signals over a wire laid between two stations.
Samuel Morse invented a code (Morse code) consisting of a set of dots and dashes representing the letters of the English alphabet and the numbers.
In 1844, Morse sent his first telegraph message from Washington D.C. to Baltimore (Maryland).
The telegraph revolutionized long-distance communications.
