What is allusion?
an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly; an indirect or passing reference.
We've got a real Jacob vs. Edward situation going on here...
Why do we use allusions?

A classical allusion is a reference to a particular event or character in classical works of literature, such as ancient Roman or Greek works.
