Abortions are illegal if they are performed after the first twenty four weeks of pregnancy. One of the justifications for this requirement is that it is a balance between the safety of the mother, and giving her time to consider an abortion. Arguably, a mother could be able to make the decision to have an abortion within the first twenty four weeks of pregnancy. After those first twenty four weeks, nearly the end of the second trimester, the risk of harm to the mother increases greatly
The case of roe Vs wade was the case that allowed abortion to be legal.
pro abortion: Safety
Legal abortion is a safe procedure. Infection rates are less than one percent, and fewer than 1 in 100,000 deaths occurs from first-trimester abortions. Abortion is safer for the mother than carrying a pregnancy to term. Medical and surgical abortions are both safe and effective when performed by trained practitioners. Having a legal abortion is way safer than the mom trying to do it herself and risk killing herself.

Having access to safe and legal abortions
does not necessarily mean it is right but it deters crime
and it gives less chance of harm that comes to the woman. It will reduce maternal injury & death caused by unsafe illegal abortions.
What is Abortion?
According to bpas.org An abortion is when the pregnancy is ended so that it does not result in the birth of a child. Sometimes this is called ‘termination of pregnancy’, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.

The 14th Amendment guarantees
that no state shall “deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”
Pro-choice supporters argue that unborn children are not considered “persons”
Person-hood begins after a fetus becomes "viable". Therefore abortion cannot be considered as murder because the fetus is not considered a 'Person' by law.
Roe v. Wade
is the historic Supreme Court decision overturning a Texas interpretation of abortion law and making abortion legal in the United States. The Roe v. Wade decision held that a woman, with her doctor, could choose abortion in earlier months of pregnancy without legal restriction, and with restrictions in later months, based on the right to privacy.
Pro abortion: When does life begin
Nobody knows when Life really begins. Some people say that it begins at conception when the egg is fertilized. Others may say it begins when the baby is actually born or even when it is first formed as a zygote.
Everybody has their own definition of when life begins. This brings up the question is an unborn child a person? According to the 14th amendment they are not considered 'Persons'.

Types of self-induced abortion
Many religious people living in the US are greatly opposed to abortion. They believe it is murder which is a sin in "God's" eyes.
Religious people are granted their freedom of opinion and religious practices, so by all means their views are respected in this country.
Considering this is a free country, people are given the liberty to believe in whatever they desire. So as a result there will never be a definite standard for what is moral or immoral. Humans will have their own views on whether abortion is moral or immoral.
Therefore, abortion should be a personal choice and right just as religion is also a personal choice and right.

pro abortion: Financial Issues
Many may want abortions because they live in poverty with not enough money to support a child and do not want to raise a child in such a situation.
Some believe they will not be able to cope with the child
some feel they are too young to take care of a child which is a huge responsibility
Is giving the child up for adaption a good alternative? Yes it is but many do not desire going through the process of enduring the pangs of a 9 month long pregnancy.

In conclusion our position on abortion is that it should be a legal personal choice. Those who do not believe in it are respected for their beliefs but considering this is a country of
freedom of choice

Allowing safe abortion does not make abortion right but it deters the crime of self-inducing abortion.

Life begins when the zygote is formed. The zygote forms immediately after the sperm penetrates the egg. Therefore having an abortion is a crime.
Killing an unborn child for the convience of the mother is immoral.
A study from Gattmatcher Institute concluded that half the women having abortions every year has had a previous one.
This suggeset that many people are using abortion as a form of conception.
