What is Branding...
Don't ignore the importance of marketing. Everyone at your company should be considered "your marketing department."
Marketing is everything a company does that touches a customer.
The simplest definition of a brand is equating it to reputation. Branding is about understanding.
Branding is broader than marketing.
Branding is/are the elements that differentiate you from your competition.
Branding uses guidelines, tools and elements that include your mission & goals.
How does marketing fit in?
Marketing is everything a company does that touches a customer… This includes your branding.
Marketing provides information, guidelines, and tools for creating advertising, communication tools, and engaging customers. This may also include customer service and sales tips.
Effective Ways to Brand Your company
Develop all collateral & image materials (web, logo, tagline, mission statement, cards, pitch, etc...)
Develop a mission statement that shows your reason for being and the value you provide to your customers.
Press Releases to media
Write & Post to website/blog/social media outlets
Participate in Industry Conferences & Events
Create & Issue on-line or direct mail newsletters
Plan a media release before & after an event
Update website 4 times a month
