Patrick Henry was an American attorney, planter and politician who became known as an orator during the movement for independence in Virginia in the 1770s.Patrick Henry’s“Give me Liberty or Give me Death” speech was given on March 23,1775,before the Virginia House of Burgesses at St. John's Church, his resolution to organize the milita of Virginia and to put the colony of Virginia on a war footing was unanimously adopted in that colony.He was also the governor of Virginia from 1776-1778 and in 1774.

In his will, he requested that if his wife remarried, she would lose his inheritance to her when he died.He died on June 6, 1799.
He was born on May 29,1736 in Studley,Virginia.
He was a US representative.
