Transcript of Discipleship

There isn't enough time
This season of life is too busy
The Lie we Believe
hu man ism
ma te ri al ism
How are we duped by this?
How can we respond with truth?
We swim in it all the time
We forget the teaching of Christ that our lives are not our own
We don't see that the fight is a good fight for us
We need to view time as the brevity of life:
Psalm 90:12 “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”
We need to view time as a foolish or wisdom choice:
Ephesians 5:15-16 “15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”
We need to view time as something we will give an account for:
Romans 14:12 “So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.”
Use your Already Present Opportunities
Deuteronomy 6:4-8

“4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
