Goals (KYECS 3's/4's) 1.3 (KYECS 3s/4s) 2.1 (KYECS 3's/4's) 1.2 Uses language (verbal, signed, symbolic) for a variety of purposes. Standards Communicates with increasing clarity and uses conventional grammar. Engages in active listening in a variety of situations. During structured classroom activities STUDENT will verbally express thoughts, feelings or communicate needs with 90% accuracy over 3 consecutive sessions for which specific skills are targeted.
In 12 months, during structured classroom activities, STUDENT will appropriately use language to express thoughts and ideas on 90% of given opportunities, as measured on 3 consecutive sessions . Sample Annual Goals for (KYECS 3's/4's) 1.3
During a small group arrangement (no more than 4 students) STUDENT will demonstrate effective articulation skills to be clearly understood by others by producing targeted speech sounds at the word level with 90% accuracy over 3 consecutive sessions.

During circle time activities STUDENT will demonstrate effective use of listening skills by following verbal prompts given by teacher with 90% accuracy over 3 consecutive sessions as measured by frequency recording.

Given phonemic awareness instruction STUDENT will demonstrate sound discrimination skills with 90% accuracy over 3 consecutive sessions for which specific skills are targeted.
In 12 months, during structured classroom activities, STUDENT will appropriately utilize targeted phonemic/phonological strategies with 90% accuracy, as measured on 3 consecutive sessions . STUDENT will communicate using combinations of three or more words to express thoughts, feeling and ideas clearly with 90% accuracy over 3 out of 4 sessions STUDENT will ask and answer 'wh' questions in order to help, get information or clarify something not understood with 90% accuracy over 3 consecutive sessions.
STUDENT will express his preferences verbally to make choices, such as choosing an activity, a snack, a toy on 4 of 5 opportunities over 3 sessions.
When presented with pictures/objects, STUDENT will generate (2) attributes without cues with 90% accuracy for 3 consecutive sessions. STUDENT will successfully participate in daily routines and activities that require communication (i.e. story time, music) by saying words clearly on 4 of 5 opportunities over 3 sessions.
STUDENT will use target phonemes when answering questions in circle time with 90% accuracy over 3 sessions.

Given a selected isolated sound to listen for, STUDENT will orally identify with a yes/no response the presence or non-presence of the selected sound with 90% accuracy for 4 out of 5 sessions.
STUDENT will identify and/or match same sounds in words (i.e. beginning sounds/ending sounds) with 90% accuracy over 3 consecutive sessions.
STUDENT will pronounce, blend, segment syllable in spoken words with 90% accuracy over 3 consecutive sessions
STUDENT will identify the number of sounds in words on 4/5 trials over 3 sessions.
