Scholastic News money is due by Wednesday, September 11th. Make checks payable to Woodland Elementary School.
Beginning of Year Test
*Students will take the beginning of year test next
Tuesday, September 10th

*Please make sure your child arrives to school on time.
Beginning of Year Paperwork
All paperwork needs to be completed and returned to school tomorrow.
Acceptable Use Policy
: If students go to inappropriate/off task websites, they will loose computer privileges.

Students are responsible for the cost of all damage to their laptop. Cases will be provided to use when transporting laptops.

Homebase Parent Portal
You will able to view your child's grades using Homebase Parent Portal. Using your child's login code, you will have to set up an account.

***Understand that even if a child travels between more than one household, he/she still only has one account.
You must share a username and password.

Read to Achieve
A new law in North Carolina concerning 3rd Grade reading EOG test scores.
The Kindergarten Entry Assessment will take
effect beginning with the 2014-2015 school year.

Based on State Law from House Bill 950
The Excellent Public Schools Act

--Reading 3D

Parents will be provided with training on how to work with their child at home.


This is different than a combination class. Fourth grade standards will be taught to all students with 90 minutes of intensive reading instruction and support.
