The end!

Yours Truly~
Presented By....
Chapter One
We live in cities you'll never see on screen
Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things
Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams
And you know, we're on each other's team

The Great Gatsby Soundtrack
The story begins with the importance of money
in a person's life. With the introduction of the
rich East Egg, Nick is invited to have dinner
in the luxurious East side. The song relates to
how there are two different "teams"- one rich,
and another poor, similar to The Great Gatsby's
theme of money.Tom and Daisy even states thaty
money "makes the world go 'round".
Chapter Two
When a rich ---- want you
And your --- can do nothing for ya
These girls ain't loyal
These girls ain't loyal
Yeah, yeah, let me see

Lorde- Team
Chris Brown: Loyal
In chapter two, we discover about
Myrtle's affair with Tom. As the song
states, Myrtle is not "loyal" to George
and later, this affair becomes a
pivotal point and leads to a
Chapter Three
We've come too far to give up who we are
So let's raise the bar and our cups to the stars

She's up all night to the sun
I'm up all night to get some
She's up all night for good fun
I'm up all night to get lucky
Chapter three focuses on Gatsby's lavish
party. Gatsby host these parties in an attempt
to look for his missing love, Daisy. Throughout the night, as the song suggests, hes up all night
to get lucky and hope to see Daisy in one of these parties. The song correlates to the story
as Nick also feels like his desire to experience
the life of rich societies turns out to be exactly
the same of those of the lower class.
Daft Punk: Get Lucky
Chapter Four
Hey baby even though I hate ya!
I wanna love ya
I want you!
And even though I can't forgive you
I really want ta
I want you!

Tell me, tell me baby
Why can't you leave me?
Cause even though I shouldn't want it
I gotta have it
I want you!
Ariana Grande- Problem
The song directly relates to Gatsby's
afections towards Daisy. Towards the
end of this chapter, Gatsby believes
that he has a chance in finally re-
uniting with Daisy. Although he does
not like it, he wants Daisy, just as the
song says.
After Nick returns, he witnesses
Gatsby and Daisy reunite in love.
The song has a slow tempo that
correlates with the chapter, as they
both quickly escalate and describes the new relationship between Gatsby and Daisy
As the clock stops, Gatsby wants his time with Daisy to last forever.
Chapter Five
Mariah Carey- #beautiful
You’re beautiful, and your mind is --- beautiful
And I can’t pretend that doesn’t mean a thing to me, to me, yeah
You’re beautiful, good lord, you’re ---- beautiful
And I can’t pretend that doesn’t mean a thing to me, to me, yeah, yeah

Chapter Six
Adele- Rumor Has it
You made a fool out of me and, boy, you're bringing me down
You made my heart melt yet I'm cold to the core
But rumour has it I'm the one you're leaving her for

Rumour has it
Rumour has it
Rumour has it
Rumour has it

Chapter Seven
Big Bang- Lies
Michael Jackson- You are not alone
Chapter Eight
Chapter Nine
Linkin Park- Waiting for the End to come
The song captures the convoluted
nature of gossiping and how it can
lead to wrong conclusion. In this
chapter, Nick tells the real story of
Gatsby's hisotry, not the rumors
that had been mentioned before.
During a particular scene, Daisy
states that "Rumor has it" Gatsby
made his fortune through a chain
of drugstores, and Tom reveals that
his fortune comes from illicit
activies. The song emphasizes the
power of rumors and how it can
destory a person's reputation.
I'm so sorry but I love you
They are all lies, I didn't know, I just realized I need you
I'm so sorry but I love you
Sharp words, without knowing I let you leave in my anger
I'm so sorry but I love you, they are all lies
I'm so sorry (sorry) but I love you (I love you more more)
I'm so sorry but but I love you

Finally, Myrtle
is hit by a car and
similar to the song,
Gatsby loves Daisy.
Although Daisy is
driving the car,
Gatsby is willing to
sacrefice himself for her,
just to attain Daisy's affection and
lies that he was the one driving the car.
This ultimately leads to a tragedy.

I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold
The song complements the scene
where Gatsby is shot by Wilson.
As Gatsby dies, he died believing
that Daisy will "always be in his
heart" as the song states. Although
she had already moved on and
turns out that Daisy only loved
Gatsby for his money, he died
with a loving memory of her. The
overall lyrics of this song states
how Daisy will always be in
Gatsby's heart.
In the final chapter, Nick reminds
the audience that dreams may have
to be let go, and move on. Gatsby held
on to his dream of Daisy for far too long
and lead to his death. The song hints how
Nick is now confused and "waiting for
the end to come" because he now believes
that the idea of an American Dream
is false. Nick states "boats against the
current, borne back ceaselessly into
the past."
