Most Moving Element

Favorite Element of the Text?

Some of the pictures of what the evil spirit did ,was breathtaking to look at.

My favorite element of the book is how some people explain what happened to them in the house. This is interesting because it is not is Bob's perspective.

What made you choose the book?

Cross Necklace Broken..

(He never took it off).

Pg. 220-221

Claw marks appeared on Bob's chest, arms, and legs when he woke up.

Around Halloween my friends and I went to Hundred Acres Manor, and on the way we passed 3406 Brownsville Road. Colleen's Mother was talking about that house saying an evil spirit was living in there. During the drive I was really interested in learning more about this house. After Hundred Acres Manor Ms. Marsili was saying she was reading the book Bob Cranmer wrote about the house. When I got home I looked at Barnes and Nobles and saw they had the book. So i finally got the book and started reading it.

"It was cold, and snowing outside. We were talking on the third floor but it felt oppressive and overwhelming. I walked outside with Ryan and Elfie, one of the girls in the class, to breathe. We walked for about fifteen to twenty minutes. Then lightning hit near by and everything went black except the four street lights right around us. We felt like we needed to get back right away because something might have gone wrong...

"I opened my eyes and stood up and I felt dizzy so I went back into the other room. The others turned and asked me "Whats Wrong." I stood there and these scratches welted up and appeared on my forehead as they watched, and they were filming."

My Opinions on reading this book

Why Would You Like This Book?

You should read "The Demon of Brownsville Road." This book is a great way of learning more about the creepier side of Pittsburgh. I read many good reviews on this book, so you should read it. This book is a great novel that will interest you more about paranormal activity.

The family dog staring at the evil spirit.

At first the book comes off as creepy. I put off reading this book until after Halloween. I have to admit I did not know what I was getting into. I heard about it a few times and I didn't want to read it, but once I started to read I was hooked. Overall it was a great read, this book was full of life. I would rate it 5/5 stars, and recommend it for everyone to read.

Lesa Cranmer

Bob Cranmer

I would cast Lesa Cranmer as herself because she was a mother that experienced this in real life, she would know how to handle her kids when the evil spirit was doing harm. Lesa would feel protective more over her kids if she was the role.

I would cast Bob Cranmer as himself because he understands what really happened. He could reenact the same way as he was living in the house, because he experienced all the activity in the house.

Memorable Element?

Bobby Cranmer

Bobby was the youngest kid in the Cranmer Family and the one who got the most violation from the evil sprint. His life took a turn from being happy to a violent emo person. I would Cast him as himself because he would have so much emotion which will make the movie better.

The memorable element was when Bobby was explaining when he saw the figure standing by him. This stands out to me because it is quite frightening.

* What I think the main people are in the book. Only some of the family members were important to the book.*

As I stared at the door in shock, I saw a hand stick out with a black robe on its arm. As I'm staring at the hand reaching into the doorway I pulled my blankets over my head in terror. Then the blankets were ripped out of my hands and flew to my feet, folded perfectly. I looked up and there was another figure floating above me. It was looking down at me. If you took a human body and turned it into a lightbulb that's what it looked like. There was no facial features, just a lightbulb person. I closed my eyes and screamed really loud and it all stopped. I lay in bed until my mom got home but I didn't say anything. I felt total terror, like I was going to die.

3406 Brownsville Road

" I was in fifth grade and I had stayed home from school sick. My mom took all my siblings to school and then she went to the pharmacy. I was in my room in bed looking out the window. I heard a strange noise, something like bagpipes paying. The noise got louder and louder and then the door to my room opens and this thing comes into my room. It was made out of what looked like static, or lightning bolts, in the shape of a kids body, but with no face. It then seemed to hop or skip in my room, stood at the front of my bed, and then it went back out the door. I stared at the door , and then this dark figure, that I can only compare to the image of the Grim Reaper, ran past the door.

About The Author

Taken in 1996

Once in a lifetime you will experience something creepy, but this Pittsburgh family had to live with it. The Cranmers move into 3406 Brownsville Road, not knowing it was evil. Their son Bobby felt something was wrong, like something was there. Soon after wards the family began to experience strange activity like objects moving on their own, ghostly movement, violence, and blood around the house. Even with priests, holy water, and rosary it was hard to get rid of the evil spirit.

Some of the children could see the spirit as a dark robe/ dress like clothing with black shoulder length hair covering the face.
