Transcript of Twilight
By: Navreen Cheema
This Prezi is a photo essay about Twilight, specifically about the vampires in it.
The fame of Twilight all started when Stephanie Meyer published Twilight on October 5, 2005.
The popularity soon lead to a film adaption which hit theaters on November 21, 2008.
How vampires are created in Twilight
A vampire sticks it's fangs into a humans neck and injects it's venom into the human. Transformation from human to vampire is described as being "the sharpest memory they have of their human life." Once a human is bitten, the venom from inside the vampire's mouth is injected into the bloodstream and will travel throughout the body to change every living cell.
Depending upon how much venom is in the bloodstream, and how close the venom enters to the heart, transformation from human to a vampire in Twilight could last anywhere between 2-5 days.
After transformation, the vampire awakens.
Vampires survive on blood as their only food source. In Twilight they could live by feeding on animals or human. The longer they avoid blood the weaker they will get.
Vampires who wish to blend with the human society feed on animals. They are referred to as "vegetarian vampires". The Cullen family would be an example of vegetarian vampires.
This picture is a comparison of 2 different vampire eyes. If vampires feed on humans, they have red eyes. If they feed on animals, they have golden eyes. However a newborn vampire will have bright red eyes regardless of it's diet.
New Born Vampires
Newborn or newborn vampire is the term for a vampire that has been transformed for less than one year.
There was an invasion of newborns in the third Twilight movie, Eclipse.
A lot of the newborns cannot be controlled when it comes to power, and also are overly obsessed with the essence of human blood.
A new borns thirst for blood is extremely painful. Described by Bree Tanner as being a "fire in the throat", and they will feed as much as possible to curb it.

On average, a newborn's physical strength is greatly beyond an older vampire because they still have their own blood moving in their tissues. As time passes, however, the venom in them will consume that blood, and the newborn's physical powers and thirst will slowly reduce until it reaches the level of a normal vampire, by the end of its first year.
One of the most amazing abilities is their speed. They are able to run in excess of a hundred miles per hour. They can lay down and sit up within the same fraction of a second, almost without having to even think about going through the motions. The picture above shows how they look when they are running in speed.
A vampire is said to be thousands of times stronger than any human and is able to lift objects several hundreds of times their own weight. A good example of their strength is seen when Bella decides to arm wrestle Emmett after becoming a vampire. She describes the power in his one arm to be about the same as a cement truck moving down. They can crush metal, and uproot trees with their bare hands.
A vampire's senses are also greatly enhanced, which helps them to see, hear, smell, feel, and taste things a million times better than a human. While running, a vampire can see and sense everything that is around them. Everything is much sharper, and more defined as a vampire. Bella described looking back at her human life as looking through a thick, dark veil because of her new incredible vision. Vampires can smell objects several miles away in a good breeze. They can hear sounds coming from several miles away, and even with their eyes closed they can be sure that there are multiple people in a room because of the breathing patterns. They can hear the sound of a heartbeat, a pulse beating in a vein, and words spoken in a whisper. They can feel the slightest changes of temperature around them. They can taste the differences of particles in their atmosphere. Vampires also have this thing called a sixth sense which is having a sense to danger, usually from something strong enough to hurt them.
How to kill a Vampire
In the Twilight world, vampires are not known to be killed by human effort. They are unharmed by sunlight, garlic, any kind of stake or cross, and can enter homes without permission. Also, any kind of human weapon, including bullets, bounces off of them without any pain. The only known way to kill a vampire is to rip his or her body and burn it before it can reconstruct itself.
To this day Twilight is known for its remarkable, outstanding and phenomenal success and I am certain it will stay that way in the future to come!
Thank you for watching!!!
