Cocktail Hour From simple to sensational, WNOL have picked out the best cocktails bars that you need to visit in the capital. Callooh Callay Rivington Street, Shoreditch Featuring some of the best made cocktails in town, Callooh Calley doesn't offer much, but what it does offer is pretty darn tasty.
If it's something refreshing and zingy you're after, try the Electric Ladyland; 42 Below passion fruit vodka muddled with fresh tarragon, raspberries & blackberries. However, if you're feeling adventurous, there's plenty of options to sample something a little different.
The Fennominal, made with Martini Bianco, Wild Nettle cordial, bespoke fennel bitters, topped off with Prosecco, is sure to trick tastebuds all over with it's aniseed punch. Adventure Bar Bedford Street, Covent Garden Definitely not for the faint hearted! Adventure Bar is the wacky cocktail bar in the fancy side of town that prides itself on being pretension free and full of life... Let us tell you, it doesn't disappoint! With a happy hour that runs from 5-7pm every day, Adventure Bar gives you the chance to sample your way through their amazing menu of cocktails without spending a fortune.
If you fancy something with a fizz, try the Absolutely Fabulous; Absolut vodka with luscious raspberry liqueur and cranberry juice, topped up with a sparkling splash of prosecco. For chocolate lovers everywhere, the Umpa Lumpa is bound to impress. A creamy concoction of Malibu, muddled with milk, cream and chocolate & hazelnut liqueurs -they say it's almost good enough for Willie Wonka himself!
Whichever cocktail you chose, Adventure Bar guarantees a night of fun, but after drinking all their delicious cocktails, you might need to bring a camera to remember it all! Fifty Five Bar & Lounge Jamestown Road, Camden Town A lively, exciting environment is the best place to enjoy a good cocktail! Fifty Five Bar & Lounge in Camden boasts the best in premium cocktails whilst playing music to create a buzzing atmosphere. All of the bartenders know their stuff and can whip up any of the 200 cocktails quickly whilst showing off their shaking skills.
There's a happy hour every night, Mon-Sat, six until eight, Friday, five until eight and the bar offers 2-4-1 all night on a Sunday.
Our favourite cocktail on the menu is the Passion fruit Collins; Luksosowa Vodka, passion fruit liqueur and lemon juice sweetened with sugar and passion fruit syrup topped with soda. Browns Bar & Brasserie Various locations, London Sometimes, the best way to enjoy a cocktail is with good food, and that's exactly what you'll get at Browns. The Covent Garden restaurant is our favourite destination with an extensive grand bar, stocked with all the alcohol you can think of, and has a neatly decorated adjoining brasserie.
Enjoy the classics such as Long Island Ice Tea and Cosmopolitan for £4.95 from 4pm Sunday-Wednesday, or go all out and try something a little different from the Autograph collection. The Rivoting Raspberry; a mixture of Champagne, Absolut Raspberri vodka and Chambord is a delicious fruity fizz that will tickle your senses.k THIRST London Greek Street, Soho "There are no showy gimmicks, nothing ridiculous and no exclusiveness here. It's well worth checking out Thirst!" says VisitLondon, and we completely agree. Set over two floors with two extensive cocktail stations and a massive selection of drinks, there's something for everyone.
THIRST have two different happy hours that change their times during the course of the week. Stupid Hour, where most cocktails are half price, is one of the best times to visit the bar!
Try a twist on a classic with the Rude Cosmopolitan; everything you love from a normal Cosmo but with a dash of El Jimador Tequila for an extra little kick. Beautiful! * * * Drink responsibly!
