Your elusive creative genius
Eat Pray Love
Creativity in the ancient world:
creativity is a divine attendant spirit
the spirit comes from a distant and unknowable source
a kind of daemon (Greece)
a kind of genius which lives in the walls (Rome)
the spirit assists the artist with his work
the result is not the achievement of the artist
this spirit protects the artists from the results of their work
the efforts belong the spirit
the fiascoes are the spirit's faults
The modern world
The ancient world
individual human being at the center of the universe
no room for mystical creatures
The fake encyclopedia
Creativity in the modern world
creativity comes completely from the self of the individual
artists does not have a genius anymore
the artists are geniuses
the artists bear the whole responsibility
the pressure to succeed is to much
at the end art always becomes an agony of mind
"Everyone of my books has killed
me a little more!"
all works after the masterpiece
develop a safe distance between you and the reactions to your work
believe in the ancient spirit again
do not be afraid while doing your job
"just do your job" (Elizabeth Gilbert)
Can I ever create a prezi like this again?
I will never be able to top the success of my masterpiece!
Pressure to succeed
