A glimpse into the future of Lakeside School District:
Safety Features- Classroom
Q: What five adjectives would best describe your design?
A: Quick, Easy, Precaution, Simple, Less Timely
Q: what makes your design innovated?
A: It is quick, easy, and simple and doesn’t require much effort or time. In the long run it may keep children safe.
Q: What was the inspiration for your design?
A: In Disney World they give you a bracelet the enable you to get on all the rides. This made me think what if they used that in schools.
Q: what current safety features of lakeside do you think will still be in used in 2050?
A: Keep all doors at all times, drills, teachers doing active shooter drills, informing students about safety.
Q: What do you think will be the biggest safety concerns and why?
A: More students turning on the school and doing whatever they please. I think this because kids are becoming more and more rebellious and they don’t care about what other people think about them or what they do.
Problem: The problem in schools today is safety and that it is going to be an even bigger problem in 2050. The emergency plans we use don’t always work the way we plan. They don’t practice the plans enough to where all of the students and teacher are more comfortable with the process. Teachers always get aggravated when it comes to taking attendants and knowing when children leave and come back in to a classroom.
Solution: I think a way we could solve some of these problems for 2050, is by having more drills for emergency reasons. students will get used to the
of the drills better. I think students will soon be made to wear a
bracelet that has all of the information that a teacher would need to know. The bracelets are
and are a
setter. The student would have to scan their bracelet to get in and out of class, to buy food in the lunch room, And to check out books, iPads, computer, and other materials. The information would automatically forward to a teacher’s iPad and the teacher could tell right away what a student was doing. The bracelets and drills will provide more safety for the children.
